KPMG has introduced KPMG Law US, making it the first Big Four firm to establish a law firm in the country. The new subsidiary will operate independently while aligning with KPMG’s Tax practice to provide technology-driven legal services.

  • First US Big Four law firm delivering integrated technology, scale, and legal solutions
  • Global reach through established legal practices across more than 80 KPMG member firms
  • AI-powered solutions enabling legal teams to focus on strategic priorities

Building on its existing presence in Arizona, where it already serves over 100 clients, KPMG Law US aims to meet the shifting demands of corporate legal departments. The firm will integrate artificial intelligence and other advanced tools through the KPMG Digital Gateway, expanding on its Legal Business Services practice.

Global Reach and Industry Impact

KPMG Law US will also collaborate with KPMG’s global law network, which spans more than 80 jurisdictions. Together, they will offer legal managed services, legal operations consulting, and technology-driven legal solutions. This approach is designed to help businesses improve efficiency and allow legal teams to focus on higher-value work.

The move comes at a time when legal services are rapidly evolving, with companies looking for ways to modernize their operations for a competitive edge. By combining legal expertise with advanced technology, KPMG aims to reshape how legal services are delivered.

Tax Vice-Chair Rema Serafi said, “KPMG is uniquely positioned to reshape how legal services are delivered. By integrating artificial intelligence and advanced technology with legal expertise, we are leading the way in providing a broad range of tech-enabled solutions that meet the changing needs of our clients.”

This expansion reflects the firm’s broader strategy to provide more comprehensive business solutions. As legal departments face increasing pressure to streamline processes and cut costs, KPMG Law US positions itself as a key player in addressing these challenges.
