ShellKode and AWS launch “EmpowerHer” to train 1 lakh Women

ShellKode, in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), unveiled “EmpowerHer,” aiming to train 100,000 women developers with skills in Gen AI technology.

This initiative seeks to empower women for the future, leveraging AWS resources for comprehensive training and support, and fostering a diverse and inclusive tech community.

Dedicated to democratizing next-gen AI, this groundbreaking initiative places a premium on advancing women developers within the Indian tech sphere.

Its mission is to ensure inclusivity and diversity by providing opportunities for women to excel in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence.

By prioritizing the empowerment of women in technology, the initiative aims to foster innovation and drive positive change, ultimately benefiting both the industry and society as a whole.

Other Companies that are Skilling on Gen AI

Recently, HCLTech, a leading global technology firm, aims to train 50,000 employees in Generative AI this year. The initiative reflects the company’s commitment to equipping its workforce with advanced skills in emerging technologies to stay competitive in the dynamic tech landscape.

Microsoft has announced that the company will be investing US$1.7 billion over the next four years in new cloud and AI infrastructure in Indonesia.

The company will have AI skilling opportunities for 840,000 people and support for the nation’s growing developer community.

Microsoft has announced a broader commitment to provide AI skilling opportunities for 2.5 million people in Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member states by 2025.

In February, the company announced a significant skilling initiative in India, aiming to equip 2 million people with AI skills by 2025.

The ADVANTA(I)GE INDIA initiative is part of Microsoft’s Skills for Jobs program, which is designed to empower India’s workforce with future-ready skills.

Ikea, a Swedish multinational, aims to equip about 3,000 employees and 500 leaders with AI literacy training. Under this initiative, a diverse array of courses is offered, meticulously designed to cater to the distinct requirements of employees across different hierarchical levels and career paths within the organization.
