Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has rolled out a new Generative AI pathway aimed at students aged 18 and above. This is part of its go Innovate Together (goIT) program, which helps young people understand digital tools and career options.
The new offering introduces students to Generative AI, how it works, the tools involved, and ethical concerns. The program encourages students to use AI to build practical solutions that support sustainable development.
Hands-On Learning for Real-World Challenges
The Generative AI pathway is now part of goIT Live, a program that brings together design thinking and technology.
It’s already been tested in North America and the UK & Ireland. Students work on ideas that align with the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
They go from brainstorming to building a working prototype and presenting it to a group, mimicking how real startups pitch to investors.
Flexible Learning Setup
This pathway is designed for use both in classrooms and out-of-school settings such as clubs, camps, and community programs.
It gives students a chance to build tech skills while working on solutions that matter to them and their communities.
Supporting Skill Development for the Future
Vipul Shah, Head of Programs at TCS, CSR, said the program helps students grow into responsible individuals with the right mix of values and skills.
He noted that the new GenAI content helps students build job-ready abilities that can help them in the years to come.
Wider Impact Across the Globe
Now in its 16th year, goIT has reached over 350,000 students in more than 50 countries. It focuses on closing the skill gap in technology and gives students the tools to solve real problems.
The courses cover mobile app creation, AI, microprocessors, and more, with support from TCS professionals and industry experts.
