Wipro Limited, a global leader in AI-powered technology services and consulting, has announced the relocation of its Middle East regional headquarters from Al Khobar to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The move reinforces Wipro’s commitment to the region, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative to establish the Kingdom as a global technology hub.

The new headquarters was inaugurated in a formal ceremony attended by Wipro’s executive team, employees, and customers.

This expansion is part of Wipro’s growing footprint in the Middle East, where it already operates offices in Riyadh, Al Khobar, Jeddah, and Jubail.

Wipro Expansion: Strategic Importance of Riyadh Headquarters

The decision to relocate to Riyadh is a strategic move that positions Wipro closer to key business and government stakeholders in Saudi Arabia.

Riyadh, as the economic and technological hub of the Kingdom, offers unmatched opportunities for digital transformation and innovation.

Mohammed AlRobayan, Deputy Minister for Technology at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), emphasized that Wipro’s expansion will accelerate the growth of Saudi Arabia’s digital economy.

He highlighted the Kingdom’s attractiveness as a business-friendly environment, welcoming Wipro’s investment in developing national competencies.

Wipro’s Partnership with Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University

In addition to the new headquarters, Wipro has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) to establish a Center of Excellence (CoE) in Riyadh.

The CoE aims to upskill local talent by providing:

  • Academic training in advanced technologies
  • Hands-on experience with industry-leading tools
  • Access to Wipro’s global resources

This initiative will equip young Saudi nationals with future-ready skills, creating a strong talent pool that can contribute to Saudi Arabia’s growing technology sector.

Wipro Leadership and Workforce Expansion

Wipro’s commitment to the Middle East is further strengthened by the appointment of Mohamed Mousa as the Managing Director for Wipro Middle East, based out of the new Riyadh headquarters.

Vinay Firake, CEO – APMEA, Wipro Limited, emphasized that the relocation supports Wipro’s long-term vision of sustained growth in the region.

He stated that the move will help build a future-ready workforce, strengthening Wipro’s presence in Saudi Arabia’s evolving digital landscape.

Firake emphasized that Wipro’s decades-long presence in the Middle East has been instrumental in supporting the Kingdom’s digital transformation efforts.

The new headquarters will serve as a hub for innovation, fostering collaboration with local businesses and government entities.

Impact on Saudi Arabia’s Digital Economy

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 aims to position the Kingdom as a global leader in technology and innovation.

Wipro’s expansion into Riyadh aligns with this vision by:

  • Enhancing digital infrastructure
  • Creating employment opportunities for local talent
  • Strengthening partnerships with Saudi businesses and institutions

The Center of Excellence at PMU will be instrumental in bridging the skills gap by providing advanced training programs.

It will help equip Saudi Arabia’s workforce with the technical expertise needed for the future of technology.
