The Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) Directorate in Uttar Pradesh has announced a paid internship program aimed at providing valuable hands-on experience to undergraduate students.
This initiative falls under the TULIP (The Urban Learning Internship Program) framework and is designed to engage bright, motivated individuals in supporting one of India’s flagship cleanliness and sanitation initiatives.
About the Program
The internship offers selected candidates an opportunity to work closely with officials of the SBM Directorate, contributing to various aspects of the program’s implementation, monitoring, and awareness campaigns.
Interns will gain insights into public policy, project management, community outreach, and data analysis within the realm of urban governance and sanitation.
Eligibility Criteria
Only candidates who meet the following criteria can apply:
- Must be pursuing or have completed undergraduate degrees in BA, B.Com, or B.Sc., with relevant specializations.
- Must be available for 6 months.
- Must possess relevant skills and interest in sanitation, public policy, community development, or related areas.
Terms of Engagement
The internship will be governed by the terms laid out in the TULIP Handbook and Guidelines, ensuring a structured and meaningful learning experience. This includes a defined scope of work, mentorship, and timely evaluation of performance.
Perks and Benefits
Interns will receive a stipend of Rs. 15000/month for the duration of the engagement. In addition to financial support, the program offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to the mission of a cleaner India while building strong professional competencies.
