The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has opened applications for its Internship Program at the UIDAI Technology Centre in Bengaluru.
This initiative offers students and recent graduates an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a high-impact technological environment, contributing to one of the world’s most ambitious digital identity projects — Aadhaar.
The internships are open across multiple disciplines, with a strong emphasis on technical and design expertise.
Internship Details and Eligibility
UIDAI is seeking interns from diverse academic backgrounds, including Engineering, Design, Statistics, Mathematics, and Management.
The total number of positions available across various disciplines is subject to change based on organizational requirements.
The categories and eligibility are as follows:
- B.Tech/BE Students – UIDAI is looking for 10 interns with a background in computer science or equivalent disciplines. Desirable skills include programming languages like C, C++, Java, Python, Rust, and Go Lang. Additionally, candidates with experience in ReactJS, React Native, Full Stack Development, Frontend Development, Data Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, Android/iOS development, and UI/UX are encouraged to apply.
- Bachelor of Design (B.Des) – Two positions are available for candidates who demonstrate a strong understanding of UI/UX design principles, research methodologies, information architecture, wireframing, and prototyping. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy will be an added advantage.
- Master of Design (M.Des) – UIDAI has opened four positions for postgraduate design students with similar skillsets as B.Des applicants, with added emphasis on advanced design systems and user-centered research.
- Bachelor’s in Statistics or Mathematical Sciences – Four interns will be selected with a strong foundation in statistics and data analysis to support UIDAI’s data-driven projects.
- Postgraduates in Management/MBA – Another four positions are open for MBA or equivalent candidates, preferably with an interest or background in product management. Interns will be involved in managing technology products, roadmaps, and possibly stakeholder engagement.

It is important to note that preference will be given to candidates who can commit to a minimum internship duration of six months.
UIDAI has also clarified that applicants who applied during April-May 2025 need not reapply, as those applications will also be evaluated under the New Internship Policy – 2025, provided they meet the updated criteria.
