The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) continues to expand its internship initiative through the National Internship Portal, designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.

The portal, available at internship.aicte-india.org, provides a centralized platform for students to access a wide range of internship opportunities from recognized organizations across various sectors.

Internships Across Key Domains

Students can explore internships in emerging and high-demand areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), Web Development, Data Analytics, and more.

Both government and private sector organizations are participating, including bodies like NIELIT, CDAC, SAMEER, and ERNET. The portal also includes internship options with central and state government departments, research institutes, and startups.

Flexible Formats and Fair Access

The portal supports multiple formats, including in-office, work-from-home, and part-time internships. This ensures flexibility and inclusivity, particularly for students from remote areas.

Many opportunities come with a stipend, typically ranging between ₹5,000 and ₹10,000, although some are unpaid with a focus on skill development and learning exposure.

Streamlined Application Process

Students can apply for internships directly through the portal by registering with their academic credentials. The portal allows filtering by location, domain, duration, stipend, and mode of work, making the process student-friendly and efficient.

New internship listings are added frequently, ensuring a dynamic and updated database for learners.

National Goal and Vision

The initiative aligns with the objectives outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes experiential learning. AICTE aims to facilitate 1 crore internships by 2025 through this platform.

With over 77 lakh internships already listed, the effort marks significant progress in preparing students for real-world challenges.

How to Apply

Students interested in applying can visit internship.aicte-india.org, register, and start browsing live listings. The portal is open to students from technical, management, and allied fields.
