Amazon India to hire over 3,000 freshers from campus this year

Amazon, a US-based E-commerce giant and the largest Internet company in the world plans to hire over 3,000 freshers from campus this year in India.

In an interview, Swati Rustagi, HR Director of Amazon India Operations told to LinkedIn, “Our campus hiring program will continue strongly and we will hire over 3000 individuals from campus this year. In fact, we used the opportunity to experiment with our hiring model on campuses, and we launched the Amazon future beta program in the midst of the pandemic.”

“Freshers and first-time job seekers are always welcome at Amazon. Many of them continue to work with us through conversions, after internships,” she added in an interview with LinkedIn.

Amazon India has strengthened its graduate hiring program last year, experimented, and changed its requirements for many jobs in terms of really being far more open to people coming from diverse backgrounds.

Interested applicants should have earned a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or Graduate in any other discipline in 2021. Job locations include but are not limited to Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, and Pune.

Last year, Amazon had announced that it plans to create one million new jobs in India by 2025 through continued investments in technology, infrastructure, and its logistics network. The jobs – created both directly and indirectly will be across industries, including information technology, skill development, content creation, retail, logistics, and manufacturing, and is in addition to the 7 lakh jobs Amazon’s investments have enabled over the last seven years in India.
