Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has approved 19 new projects worth a staggering ₹28,546 crore.

These projects are expected to create 30,270 jobs across the state, signaling a renewed focus on balanced regional development, youth empowerment, and investor confidence.

Andhra Pradesh Key Investors and Sectoral Spread

The approved projects span a diverse range of sectors including information technology, green energy, manufacturing, logistics, agro-processing, and hospitality.

Notable investors include:

  • Cognizant: Will invest ₹1,582 crore to establish a state-of-the-art IT campus in Visakhapatnam, generating 8,000 jobs.
  • Raymond: Plans to invest ₹1,202 crore, creating 6,571 jobs, following strategic discussions with IT Minister Nara Lokesh and Raymond Chairman Gautam Hari Singhania.
  • Adani Group: Committed over ₹18,900 crore in green and hydropower projects across Kadapa and other districts.
  • Reliance Consumer Products: Will invest ₹1,622 crore in Orvakal, expected to generate 1,200 jobs.

These investments reflect strong industry confidence in Andhra Pradesh’s infrastructure, policy environment, and talent ecosystem.

Amaravati Phase 2 and Infrastructure Push

A significant portion of the investment will be directed toward Amaravati Phase 2, the state’s capital development project.

The Cabinet has allocated ₹2,733 crore for new infrastructure works, including:

  • A 49-floor government tower
  • New road networks connecting to NH-16
  • Land acquisition for public institutions, including a law university at a concessional rate of Re.1 per square meter

These developments are expected to enhance connectivity, administrative efficiency, and urban growth in the capital region.

Skill Development and Employment Campaigns

To ensure that local youth benefit from the job creation, the government is launching a statewide awareness campaign starting July 1, along with door-to-door outreach programs.

The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) is also actively facilitating employment opportunities, including international placements for skilled welders in Qatar, offering competitive salaries and benefits.

Additionally, the Twenty Point Programme aims to create 20 lakh jobs for youth, with a strong emphasis on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as engines of inclusive growth.

Andhra Pradesh Strategic Vision and Policy Continuity

This latest round of approvals marks the seventh meeting of the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) under the Naidu-led administration.

With these 19 projects, the cumulative investment sanctioned has reached ₹5.34 lakh crore, with an estimated 4.73 lakh jobs created across all SIPB meetings to date.

Chief Minister Naidu emphasized the importance of regional equity, stating that locals must be the primary beneficiaries of these jobs.

He also reiterated the government’s commitment to skill development, ease of doing business, and sustainable industrialization.
