Myntra, one of India’s leading fashion and lifestyle e-commerce platforms, has added over 11,000 jobs across its supply chain and customer service network ahead of its flagship Big Fashion Festival (BFF).
The hiring drive is part of the company’s annual ramp-up strategy to meet the sharp increase in demand during the festive season, which typically sees a surge in orders, customer interactions, and logistical activity.
The Big Fashion Festival, scheduled to begin in early September, is expected to feature over 1.5 million styles from more than 6,000 brands.
The platform anticipates a significant uptick in traffic and transactions, prompting the need for expanded manpower across key operational areas.
Roles Across Logistics, Warehousing, and Customer Support
Myntra allocated a substantial portion of the 11,000 new roles to first-mile and mid-mile delivery operations, warehouse management, and last-mile logistics.
These roles are distributed across major hubs including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata.
Myntra has also strengthened its customer support team by onboarding over 1,000 executives to manage high volumes of order-related queries and ensure smooth customer experience during the sale period.
The hiring includes both direct and indirect employment through Myntra’s partner network.
The company has emphasized inclusivity in its recruitment, with over 2,500 women and 300 differently abled individuals joining in roles such as sorting, grading, and packing.
MENSA Network to Fulfill 80% of Festive Orders at Myntra
Myntra’s Extended Network for Service Augmentation (MENSA), comprising over 21,000 Kirana store partners, will play a pivotal role in fulfilling nearly 80% of festive orders.
These hyperlocal partners are integral to Myntra’s last-mile delivery strategy, enabling faster and more efficient service in urban and semi-urban areas.
The MENSA model not only supports timely deliveries but also provides income opportunities to small retailers, aligning with Myntra’s broader goal of inclusive growth and community engagement.
Strategic Workforce Expansion Reflects Post-Pandemic Recovery
This year’s hiring drive marks a 45% increase in seasonal job creation compared to previous years.
Nupur Nagpal, Chief Human Resources Officer at Myntra, said customers will celebrate the festive season at full scale after spending two years observing it in a subdued manner due to the pandemic.
“Our preparations are in full swing to cater to the high demand from customers eagerly waiting to shop on Myntra for their festive needs,” she said.
The company’s proactive workforce expansion reflects renewed consumer confidence and a broader recovery in retail and e-commerce sectors.
It also signals Myntra’s commitment to maintaining service quality and operational resilience during peak periods.
