Polycab India announces Welfare measures for employees’ families succumbed to COVID-19

Polycab India, a leading company in the electrical industry has announced a few welfare measures for the deceased employees’ families who lost their lives battling COVID-19.

Announcing the welfare measures, Polycab India Chairman, Inder Jaisinghani said, “We pray for more strength and courage for the families who have lost their lives in the fight against Covid-19. While the loss remains irreplaceable, Polycab is here to take care of their employees’ families and help them walk towards a secured future.”

He said, “The employees of Polycab India Limited are the pillar of the company and we wish for everyone’s health & safety during the current pandemic. It is deeply saddening to know that some of our employees’ lives have been lost due to Coronavirus.”

Talking about the welfare measures Inder said, “During this unprecedented time, in case of the unfortunate demise of any Polycab employee, we would like to extend our support and help families by taking the following steps.”

  • Employees’ families will be provided financial aid equivalent to two years worth the current CTC (cost to company) of the employee.
  • The education of concerned employees’ children will be taken care of until graduation level.

The Chairman said while this holds no comparison to the loss they suffer. We believe this will provide some relief and time to rebuild their life.

Furthermore keeping in mind, the health of our employees and their family members, Polycab has scheduled a series of health sessions and free consultation with senior doctors in addition to yoga workshops., he added.

Polycab is India’s leading wires and cable manufacturing company. With a legacy of over 50 years, it provides electrical solutions for household as well as industrial needs. Apart from wires and cables, Polycab also manufactures and sells FMEG products such as electrical fans, LED lighting and luminaires, switches and switchgear, solar products, and conduits & accessories.
