Dr. Anil Kumar Misra quits Reliance Retail as Chief People Officer

Dr. Anil Kumar Misra has resigned from Reliance Retail where he last served as Chief People Officer for the New Commerce Grocery business. He joined Reliance Retail in October 2021 to lead its New Commerce Business. 

Besides serving at Reliance Retail, Dr. Misra has also worked at Magicbricks, JustDial, and Fidelity as the Chief HR Officer and led organizations to great places to work.

He started his career in June 1996 and was associated with Jay Prakash Group, Oberoi Hotels, Enercon, Denso, Patni Computers, and Tesco in HR roles before taking up CHRO role for about a decade now. 

Commenting on his next career move, Dr. Misra said, “ I had been thinking about the need to empower students and people managers through application-based training programs and enabling organisations to drive people agenda through Talent & Culture Transformation, Performance, and Productivity management related Initiatives.”

“I wish to address the challenges that people and organisations face related to Performance, Productivity, and Career Management through my CHRO experience across sectors.” he added.

According to Dr. Misra, Eduonn is his new venture that would focus on Career-Accelerating training programs, Performance and Productivity training, and people advisory services.

Dr. Misra is a qualified HR professional and was a full-time PhD Scholar at FMS, Delhi in 1999. He was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate from USA for his contribution to HR and is a prominent HR thought leader in India.

He also runs Dr.HR, a YouTube channel through which he interacts with student communities across the world.
