Intas Pharmaceuticals President – Global HR Ajay Bhatt Retires

Ajay Bhatt, a distinguished leader in healthcare human resources, has retired from his role as President-Global HR at Intas Pharmaceuticals.

With an illustrious career spanning 38 years, Ajay has left an indelible mark on the pharmaceutical industry, contributing significantly to talent management, organizational development, and crisis management.

His retirement marks the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter in his life.

Career Highlights

Ajay Bhatt’s journey in healthcare HR began in 1989 when he joined Sun Pharma as Deputy General Manager-Human Resources.

Over 13 years, he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s HR strategies. In 2002, he moved to Zydus Group as General Manager-Human Resources, where he led a people-development project in collaboration with McKinsey.

Ajay’s expertise in HR practices and talent management was further honed during his tenure as Vice President-Human Resources at Torrent Pharmaceuticals.

He then joined Abbott in 2005 as Regional Human Resources Director, eventually becoming Director-HR, Innovation and Development.

During his 12-year tenure at Abbott, Ajay spearheaded global HR initiatives, including change management and digital transformation projects across emerging markets.

In 2018, Ajay Bhatt joined Intas Pharmaceuticals as President-Global HR. His leadership extended to Intas and its subsidiaries, including Accord Healthcare.

It also encompassed group companies operating in India, Europe, the US, and emerging markets.

Ajay’s tenure at Intas was marked by his role in the COVID-19 crisis management committee, ensuring employee safety and access to critical medicines.

He also led initiatives in supply-chain process improvement, quality culture, and digital technology implementation.

Contributions to Intas Pharmaceuticals and Future Plans

During his time at Intas, Ajay Bhatt played a vital role in unifying the global organization. He also worked to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the company.

He expressed gratitude for the support of his colleagues, team members, and leaders, acknowledging their contributions to his journey.
