In a significant development, Wipro Hydraulics—a subsidiary of Wipro Enterprises—has inaugurated its sixth manufacturing facility in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

This state-of-the-art plant, built with an investment of approximately Rs 250 crore, promises to play a pivotal role in Wipro Hydraulics’ expansion strategy, both in the domestic and international markets.

The New Facility

The facility is strategically located in Jaipur, a city known for its industrial growth and skilled workforce. Wipro Hydraulics spared no expense, investing Rs 250 crore to create a cutting-edge manufacturing hub.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, alongside Wipro Enterprises Chairman Azim Premji and Pratik Kumar (CEO of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering and Managing Director of Wipro Enterprises), officially opened the facility.

The plant specializes in manufacturing hydraulic cylinders—a critical component used in various industries, including construction, material handling, agriculture, and mining.

At present, the facility can produce 1,000 hydraulic cylinders per day. Pratik Kumar emphasized that they are fully capable of doubling production capacity as demand grows.

Employment Opportunities

The Jaipur facility is expected to generate around 400 jobs, providing skilled employment opportunities in the manufacturing sector. These jobs will contribute to the local economy, supporting families and livelihoods.

Pratik Kumar stressed the importance of a well-trained workforce. The facility aims to combine skilled labor with advanced automation for better quality products and higher productivity.

All machinery used in the facility is made in India, reinforcing the country’s manufacturing capabilities.

The facility handles 100% of its assembly, manufacturing, testing, and packaging in-house. This control ensures product quality and operational efficiency.

Wipro Hydraulics: A Global Player

The company serves prominent Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide, including JCB, Tata Hitachi, Mahindra and Mahindra, Hyundai, Volvo, and Epiroc.

Strategic acquisitions of Mailhot, JARP, and Columbus have expanded Wipro Hydraulics’ global footprint. Pratik Kumar proudly stated that Wipro Hydraulics now ranks among the top three players in global hydraulics manufacturing.
