Cognizant, a global leader in technology and professional services, has announced ambitious plans to establish a state-of-the-art techfin centre in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), Gandhinagar.

This move reinforces Cognizant’s commitment to innovation, global collaboration, and creating new opportunities for local talent.

Choosing Gift City as the Ideal Location for Cognizant

The upcoming techfin centre, set to launch by February 2025, will serve as a strategic hub for delivering advanced technology solutions to clients in the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) industries.

With an initial capacity for 500 associates, Cognizant aims to scale up to 2,000 employees over the next three years.

This facility represents a significant investment in Gujarat’s thriving business ecosystem and its ability to attract world-class enterprises.

GIFT City, known for its state-of-the-art infrastructure, business-friendly policies, and strategic location, has become a preferred destination for global companies seeking to establish and strengthen their presence in India.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel, expressed enthusiasm about Cognizant’s decision. He emphasized how GIFT City continues to play a pivotal role in India’s economic growth and technological advancement.

Cognizant’s Expertise and Local Impact

Cognizant has long been a trusted partner to leading BFSI institutions worldwide. Their expertise lies in accelerating digital transformation, enhancing customer experiences, ensuring regulatory compliance, and adapting to industry changes.

Notably, Cognizant serves 17 of the top 20 North American financial institutions. It also serves 9 of the top 10 European banks, and 7 of the top 10 global insurers.

Their commitment to innovation and sustainable growth aligns perfectly with GIFT City’s vision.

Jatin Dalal, Global Chief Financial Officer at Cognizant, expressed excitement about bringing the company’s deep industry expertise and innovative culture to GIFT City.

Beyond enhancing delivery capabilities across India, this move will create significant opportunities for local talent. Cognizant’s commitment extends beyond business—it aims to make a lasting and positive impact on the region.
