National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has joined hands with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). They are partnering to inaugurate a cutting-edge Skill Centre in Kandivali, Mumbai.

This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), promises to revolutionize skill development in the financial capital of India.

NSDC and BMC Collaboration: Key Highlights

The formal signing of the MoU took place in the presence of Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal.

This landmark initiative, organized by the CII, underscores the commitment of all stakeholders to empower Mumbai’s workforce with relevant skills.

The newly established vocational training institute at Akurli Village, Kandivali East, has already facilitated employment for 700 individuals. This has been achieved withing just six days of its launch.

This rapid success highlights the center’s immediate impact and its potential to transform lives.

Piyush Goyal dedicated the skill development center to our Honorable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. The latter’s vision for a skilled and self-reliant India continues to inspire us.
