Wipro Wins IT Contract from Etihad Airways for Cost Optimization

Wipro Limited, a leading technology services and consulting company, has been selected by Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, to lead its comprehensive technology modernization.

This multi-million-dollar deal aims to ensure seamless migration of legacy systems.

It also seeks to improve operational efficiency across key areas, including workplace, network, infrastructure, and service management.

As part of the five-year contract, Wipro FullStride Cloud will deliver a customized cloud-based solution.

This solution will provide Etihad Airways with real-time insights into their resource utilization.

This will improve operational agility and scalability for their global operations.

Integration of Gen AI by Wipro: Statements from Key Figures

Wipro will also integrate Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) modules across the IT framework.

This includes automation of data centers, conversational support to end-users, and intelligent device management.

Additionally, it provides insights that will optimize performance and resolve potential disruptions proactively.

Frank Meyer, Chief Digital Officer of Etihad Airways, said, “We look forward to working with Wipro to prepare for the AI era, with an emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and cost optimization.”

Frank added, “Together, we aim to elevate our customers’ experiences through advanced automation, intelligent operations, and enhanced observability.”

Access to Innovation Lab & Wipro’s Presence in Middle East

Etihad Airways will also gain access to Wipro’s Innovation Lab in the UAE.

This lab will play a pivotal role in enhancing their technology to meet the evolving demands of their global operations.
