In a candid conversation with American podcaster Lex Fridman, PM Modi shed light on the factors that have propelled Indian professionals to leadership positions in top global tech firms.

From Sundar Pichai at Google to Satya Nadella at Microsoft, Indian talent continues to dominate the tech world, and PM Modi attributes this success to a unique blend of cultural values, problem-solving skills, and collaborative nature.

The Cultural Edge: A Foundation for Leadership

PM Modi emphasized that Indian professionals excel in managing complex tasks and leading large teams, thanks to their upbringing in joint families and open societies.

These environments foster adaptability, teamwork, and a deep understanding of interpersonal dynamics, which are crucial for leadership roles.

He also highlighted the Indian ethos of equal respect for one’s birthplace and workplace.

“As much as there is dedication to the land of birth, there should be the same sense of dedication to the land of work,” he remarked.

This cultural value drives Indians to give their best effort, regardless of their role or position.

Indian professionals are renowned for their problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, which PM Modi described as “truly exceptional.”

These skills make them globally competitive and valuable assets in fields like innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology.

Their ability to navigate challenges and deliver cost-effective solutions has earned them respect and recognition worldwide.

PM Modi Highlights Ethical and Collaborative Approach

Another key factor contributing to the success of Indian talent is their strong ethical foundation.

PM Modi noted that Indian professionals tend to avoid questionable practices and remain dedicated to what is right.

Their collaborative nature enables them to work effectively in diverse teams, a skill that is increasingly important in today’s interconnected world.

“Just having knowledge isn’t enough,” the Prime Minister observed.

He added, “The ability to work effectively as part of a team matters significantly more. Understanding people and harnessing their abilities is an incredibly valuable skill.”

PM Modi Sheds Light on India’s Growing Influence in Technology and Space

PM Modi also touched upon India’s achievements in the space sector, which he described as a testament to the country’s innovative spirit.

By opening the space industry to private players, India now boasts over 200 startups working in space technology.

He highlighted the cost-effectiveness of India’s space missions, such as the Chandrayaan project, which costs less than a Hollywood blockbuster.

These accomplishments further enhance India’s reputation as a hub of talent and innovation.

The Prime Minister concluded by attributing the global success of Indian professionals to India’s civilizational ethos, which emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and ethical conduct.

He expressed confidence that these qualities would continue to make Indian talent a driving force in global leadership, particularly in the tech sector.
