Amazon India is now accepting applications for its six-month internship program for front-end engineers. This opportunity is open to students working toward a degree in computer science or a related field.

Interns will be placed in cities across India, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, and Pune.

The program allows interns to work on real-world projects that directly impact Amazon’s massive online catalog. Millions of customers use Amazon every day, and keeping the site accurate and easy to use is a top priority for the company.

What the Role Involves

Interns will work on building fast and reliable user interfaces using popular tools like React, Angular, Thymeleaf, jQuery, HTML, and CSS. They’ll join teams that value good design, smart problem-solving, and clean code. The job requires both creativity and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate should know how to build web pages that are both functional and easy to use. Interns will write code, test their work, fix problems, and take part in team discussions. The work will involve learning from experienced engineers and following best practices in software development.

Who Should Apply

To apply, you must be enrolled in a bachelor’s program in computer science, software engineering, or something similar. You should also have experience building websites or mobile apps using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Here are a few more things that can help your application stand out:

  • Experience with tools like React or Angular
  • Building features that are reusable
  • Knowing common patterns used in user interface design
  • Ability to write code that works well on different screen sizes
  • Familiarity with testing your own work

What Amazon Looks For

Amazon is looking for people who like solving problems, are eager to learn, and enjoy working on big projects. You should be able to explain why you use certain tools or frameworks and how they help build better websites. The company wants interns who take ownership of their work and can deal with unclear or changing requirements.

Amazon also values diversity and provides support to applicants with disabilities during the hiring process. If you need adjustments for interviews or onboarding, there are resources available through their website.

How to Apply

You can apply directly through Amazon’s job portal. The internship is full-time, and interns are paid. While Amazon doesn’t list the pay in the posting, similar roles typically offer monthly stipends between ₹45,000 and ₹80,000.

This internship is a strong option for students looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-moving tech company. Successful interns may also be considered for future roles at Amazon after graduation.
