India Today appoints Navendu Shekhar as Head- HR

India’s most diversified media group, India Today has appointed Navendu Shekhar as Head – Human Resources, effective from April 10, 2024. 

He confirmed the appointment on LinkedIn and said, “Hello everyone, I am excited to share that I’m starting a new journey as Head of Human Resources at India Today – India’s most respected and diversified media conglomerate!!”

“I am grateful to Cashfree Payments for the incredible experience of nearly 3 years. I want to express my sincere gratitude to Akash S.., Reeju Datta, Arun Tikoo, and Sapna Sukumar for playing an important part in my professional journey at Cashfree Payments”, the post added.

With over 12 years in the field, Shekhar has been exposed to various HR domains. He had showcased adeptness in tackling intricate strategic and operational HR hurdles across diverse organizational echelons, spanning from the grassroots to corporate realms.

Prior to India Today, he was associated with Cashfree Payments as Director- HR (Business, Strategy, and Corporate Functions).

His earlier stints include working with leading organizations including Amazon, Micromax Informatics Ltd, and Vodafone. He started his career working with Tata Consultancy Services as Assistant Systems Engineer.

Navendu holds his PGPHR from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, and completed his B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
