TCS Employee Alleges Physical Assault by HR After Termination

Shocking Allegation Surfaces on Reddit

A former employee of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has made a startling allegation against the company’s Human Resources (HR) team, claiming he was physically assaulted after questioning his termination.

The claim, first shared on the subreddit r/IndianWorkplace, has since gone viral, sparking widespread debate on workplace ethics and employee rights in India’s IT sector.

Incident at TCS Noida Office

According to the Reddit post, the incident occurred on September 19 at TCS Noida office. The employee stated he was “suddenly terminated” and wanted clarity on three issues:

  1. The grounds for termination
  2. Whether TCS would provide severance pay, as announced in media reports
  3. The separation process, including the return of company assets such as his laptop

The employee alleged that repeated emails and calls to the HR team went unanswered, prompting him to visit the office in person at around 4:30 pm.

He claimed that when he sought clarification, one HR member curtly told him, “We won’t reply. You are terminated. Fight wherever you want.”

“I Felt Humiliated,” Says Ex-Staffer

The situation allegedly escalated when HR members physically restrained him. “My right hand was twisted, I was in pain, and honestly, I felt humiliated,” the ex-employee wrote.

He further stated that he had filed a written complaint and submitted video evidence at Sector-168 police chowki in Noida. According to him, police called HR representatives to appear, but they reportedly refused.

The employee now claims he has been left with “no severance, no formal reply, and physical assault on top of it.”

He asked fellow Redditors for advice on whether to escalate the matter through the labour court, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), or directly to court.

Not the First Time

This is not the first time TCS has faced such allegations. Earlier this year, a Redditor claimed that their brother, a long-serving employee, was forced into early retirement without severance pay or compensation.

In August 2025, another employee protested outside TCS’s Pune office, alleging non-payment of salary.

Adding to the unrest, TCS had announced earlier in 2025 that it would lay off 2% of its global workforce — around 12,000 employees — triggering concern among staff and industry observers.

TCS Employee Alleges HR Pressure to Resign in Viral Post

Recently, a Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) employee has alleged that the company’s HR team pressured him to resign, sparking widespread discussion on Reddit.

In a post titled I Denied my resignation in TCS”, the techie claimed he was threatened with a poor performance review if he refused to quit.

He described crying during the meeting but choosing to stay strong and not resign. The employee further accused TCS of targeting “benched” staff by freezing profiles, blacklisting them, and issuing bad reviews.

Calling it “mental harassment and torture,” he said the toxic work culture left him regretting joining TCS.

Growing Concerns on Workplace Ethics

The latest allegation has raised serious questions about how India’s largest IT services firm handles employee exits.

While TCS has not issued a public statement on the matter, the incident highlights growing employee unrest amid job cuts and restructuring in the IT sector.
