Shell Offers 4-Week AI Internship, 3000 Positions Apply by Sept 30

Edunet Foundation, in collaboration with Shell, has announced a 4-week virtual internship program focused on Artificial Intelligence AI), offering engineering students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge technologies.

The internship, part of the Skills4Future AICTE initiative, aims to empower students with practical skills and industry exposure.

About the Program

Starting immediately, the virtual internship spans 6 weeks and is open to engineering students in their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years, specializing in Computer Engineering, IT, Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, and Data Science.

While the program is free of cost, students must be able to dedicate time alongside their regular academics and have access to a computer or laptop with an internet connection.

Participants will engage in project-based learning, working in teams under the guidance of industry mentors to develop real-world solutions and prototypes using their chosen technology track.

The program emphasizes collaborative learning, knowledge-sharing sessions, and practical exposure to AI applications in green technology and sustainability.

Mentorship and Certification

The internship offers personalized mentorship sessions, enabling students to gain insights from industry experts at Shell and Edunet.

Participants will have the chance to showcase their project prototypes at a regional event and earn certificates from AICTE, Shell, and Edunet, enhancing both their confidence and employability.

Shell, a global energy and petrochemical leader operating in over 70 countries, brings expertise in sustainable energy solutions and innovation.

Edunet Foundation, established in 2015, has trained over 300,000 students nationwide, working closely with regulators, technical universities, engineering colleges, and high schools to prepare youth for Industry 4.0 careers.

Eligibility and Application

Applicants must be 17+ years, pursuing a relevant engineering degree, and possess basic computer and programming skills. Any prior programming exposure is a plus, but not mandatory.

A total of 3,000 openings are available, and interested candidates can apply by 30 September 2025 through the AICTE Internship portal.

This initiative represents a significant step toward bridging academic learning with industry requirements, offering students a platform to innovate, experiment, and advance their careers in Artificial Intelligence.
