ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer) is a chatbot developed by OpenAI that is designed to generate human-like responses to natural language queries.

It has been trained on a massive amount of text data from the internet, including books, articles, and web pages. Chatgpt can be used in a variety of applications, such as chatbots, virtual assistants, and automated customer service systems, to provide fast and efficient responses to user inquiries.

One Japanese fintech firm, Tokyo-based LayerX Inc. is implementing and making it compulsory for recruits to use the technology.

Additionally, the company is also even testing them on it. The company with a recent job ad for new graduates making it mandatory for recruits to be tested on their use of the chatbot made by OpenAI Inc., and another called Notion AI.

Though, we recognize that ChatGPT is not perfect, said Takaya Ishiguro, chief human resources officer at LayerX, in an interview.

However, it is also dangerous to be too afraid to utilize new technology, Takaya Ishiguro added.

The recruits are asked during their entry assessments to give prompts to ChatGPT. LayerX is expected to hire about 20 recruits a year which it expects to raise productivity “rapidly.” Additionally, the candidates are also asked to conduct research to identify the limitations of the technology.

The company is focusing on promoting digitizing business transactions. Additionally, the startup is also confident on the right side of a growing divide over the use of technology.

However, AI tool has also faced banned listing a few below:

  • Sciences Po, one of France’s top universities, has also banned the use of ChatGPT.
  • In the RV University of Bengaluru, the administration has banned this AI-based software inside the campus to control students from using it for academic activities like assignments, exams, and laboratory tests.
  • According to US media reports, some public schools in New York City and Seattle have also banned the use of ChatGPT.

Recently, Tech giant Microsoft is planning to release ChatGPT-4 as early with the ability to create AI-generated videos from simple text prompts.

Andreas Braun, Chief Technology Officer at Microsoft Germany, recently confirmed that GPT-4 will be unveiled next week at an event called — AI in Focus — Digital Kickoff, reports Windows Central.

Microsoft ChatGPT and other GPT-3.5-powered technologies are limited to text-based responses at the present. But, Braun’s comments have implied that this may change with the release of the latest GPT-4, by next week.
