Walmart Global Tech gets Bhumika Srivastava as People Leader

Walmart Global Tech has appointed Bhumika Srivastava as People Leader. In this role, she will lead the HR strategy and operations for the largest retail company in the world.

She has confirmed the appointment on social media and said, “It is a matter of great pride and enthusiasm to join Walmart. I have joined Global Tech Center as a people leader and will be relocating to Bangalore.”

“I eagerly anticipate the chance to collaborate with the People Organization, business executives, and associates to advance the company’s mission of assisting people in saving money and living better”, the post added.

“It is a tremendous honor to be a member of IDC’s leadership team during this period of expansion and digital innovation. Excited about what lies ahead. #walmart“, the post added.

Bhumika carries over 20 years of experience in human resources. Additionally, she has successfully managed and transformed the talent, culture, and performance of diverse and global teams across multiple sectors, such as technology, e-commerce, hospitality, and media.

She has also leveraged her HR expertise and network to support and invest in multiple startups as a board advisor and angel investor. She has developed and applied in her roles include people analytics, employee engagement, leadership development, organizational design, and change management.

Prior to Walmart Global Tech, Bhumika was the Global head of HR at Polygon Technology. Previously, she was associated with Airbnb as Head of HR & Director, Employee Experience for over five years. Previously, her association was with organizations such as Snapdeal, Tesco PLC, Yahoo, Adobe Systems, and Newgen.

She holds her Master’s in Business Administration from the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth and Bachelor of Science – BS, Biochemistry from Nagpur University.
