According to CNBCTV report, Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO and Co-founder of OLA was addressing the audience at TiE Delhi-NCR’s India Internet Day summit in partnership with TiE Bengaluru.

Bhavish Agarwal said, “I often tell people, Hamari taqdeer mein work-life balance nahi likha hai (Work-life balance is not in our fortune)”.

He stressed the importance of hiring individuals who align with Ola’s culture and possess the “jazba and Junoon” (passion and zeal) that resonate well with the company’s values.

He emphasized the need for relentless dedication to building for the nation and working tirelessly to achieve goals.

Earlier, he announced and shared a picture of Ola Electric’s newest employee Bijlee a dog. The card also mentions the dog’s blood group as ‘paw+ve.

Bijlee’s employee code on the ID card is ‘440 V’, an apparent reference to the standard voltage in electrical systems.

He shared the Tweet saying, “New colleague now officially!”

The photo of Bijlee’s ID card also reveals that she’s part of the workforce of Ola Electric’s office in Koramangala, Bengaluru.

Ola’s pet-friendly culture isn’t new. Earlier this year, Aggarwal shared an image of three dogs resting on sofas in the Ola office.

Earlier in March Ola Electric, India’s leading manufacturer of EVs, invested in an Israeli battery technology company StoreDot, a pioneer in batteries with extremely fast charging (XFC) technology.

The investment in StoreDot is the first of several global strategic investments planned by Ola Electric as it looks to ramp up its core R&D in advanced cell chemistry & manufacturing as well as other battery technologies and new energy systems.

Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder, and CEO, Ola said: “We are committed to Mission Electric and to accelerate the world’s transition to electric mobility, our ambition is to build a complete ecosystem for EVs here in India.”

“The future of EVs lies in better, faster, and high energy density batteries, capable of rapid charging and delivering higher range. We are increasing our investments in core cell and battery technologies and ramping up our in-house capabilities and global talent hiring, as well as partnering with global companies doing cutting-edge work in this field.”

“Our partnership with StoreDot, a pioneer of extremely fast charging battery technologies, is of strategic importance and a first of many”.

The company plans to set up a gigafactory for manufacturing cells in the country to meet the demand generated by Ola Futurefactory, the world’s largest 2W factory and has already submitted a bid under the Government’s PLI scheme for Advanced Chemistry Cell Battery Storage.
