Airbus 100 employees fall ill after office Christmas party

As reported by CNN, In a European multinational aerospace corporation, Airbus nearly 100 employees have fallen ill after an office Christmas party. However, 2,600 employees had attended the party.

The company had organized the party at the company’s restaurant at its site at Montoir-de-Bretagne in the Loire-Atlantique region of western France. The food that caused the illness hasn’t been specified.

Moreover, the food was prepared by the company’s canteen. The incident occurred on December 15.

The Airbus spokesperson said, “This appears to be an isolated event and all employees are recovering well.”

“The health of our employees remains our primary concern and we are fully cooperating with the ARS health agency to identify the cause of the illness and ensure this cannot happen again in the future,” the spokesperson added. 

Airbus earlier Announcements

In the month of October this year, Airbus SE announed changes in the leadership team led by Chief Executive Officer Guillaume Faury, effective 1 January 2024 onwards.

The appointment of a designated Commercial Aircraft business management team which will operate under the helm of Christian Scherer.

“Looking at our key priorities, we want to put the Company in the right configuration for the future,” said Guillaume Faury, Airbus CEO.

“Our leadership team will further focus on the operational challenges of today, while addressing strategy and transformation to secure the future in all our businesses”, Guillaume Faury added.

Guillaume Faury further said, “This will require constant attention and stewardship from this leadership team – united around a common purpose and sharing Airbus’ core values – in order to be successful in the fast-changing global environment that has become our new normal.”
