Nivea launches Employee Growth and Development Program

Nivea India, India’s most Trusted skincare brand launched a one-of-its-kind employee growth and development program – Careers Month in August 2022.

A month-long activation, it catered to employees’ career growth and development by providing them with multiple insightful avenues such as expert talks, panel discussions, one-on-one sessions with the leadership team along with in-depth training sessions to help the employees grow and develop #YourDreamCAREer!

An enriching work environment that is fueled by an entrepreneurial drive, NIVEA India exuberates the energy of a start-up with the wisdom of a nearly 110-year-old company. Building careers through structured development of its employees is key to NIVEA India’s Employee Value Proposition and Careers Month is an endeavor aligned towards achieving just that.

Careers Month was kicked off by the Managing Director of NIVEA India, Mr. Neil George himself who shared his career journey, highlighting his experiences and learnings along the way that have helped him become the leader he is today. He also shed light on the importance of development planning and the organization’s commitment to careers.

Sharing his thoughts on the launch of Careers Month, Mr. Neil George, Managing Director, NIVEA India said, “At NIVEA India, we always strive to live by our purpose of Care Beyond Skin.”

This month-long initiative was not restricted to managers alone, it witnessed participation from the entire NIVEA India team across levels and functions in the company. This included employees across the entire value chain in India including the NIVEA India Production Centre, Distribution Centre, India R&D Hub, and the Beiersdorf global shared service center.

During Careers Month, the Functional Leaders at NIVEA India, through Hot Seat, a series of panel discussions, revealed their career secrets and shared what it takes to build a dream career at NIVEA.

Throughout the month, close to 60 one-on-one sessions were organized under Leadership Roulette between employees and leaders of their choice to learn from their career journey & experiences and seek advice on how to plan one’s the development and career path.

These included not only the leaders from the India business but also the ones who have now moved to global roles across Beiersdorf.

A special virtual session to provide an external perspective on career choices was also hosted with Mr. Suhail Sameer, CEO, BharatPe wherein he shared insights about his own career choices while providing valuable advice on the importance of taking risks, continuous learning and comfort with failure, amongst other things.
