Global consulting and technology services giant Accenture has announced the appointment of Arundhati Chakraborty as new Group Chief Executive of Accenture Operations.
Effective September 1, Arundhati will lead the charge in shaping Accenture’s operations business. She will be driving innovation, and delivering value to clients worldwide.
The company in a statement said, “Arundhati will be responsible for growing the company’s $10 billion operations business and bringing even greater innovation to Accenture’s clients..”
The company added, “tapping vast opportunities created with generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) and automation,” adding that clients look to reinvent their operations using tech, data and AI.

As Group Chief Executive of Accenture Operations, Arundhati Chakraborty will be responsible for growing the company’s $10 billion Operations business. Her mandate includes tapping into vast opportunities created by generative AI and automation.

Yusuf Tayob’s Transition
Yusuf Tayob, the outgoing Group Chief Executive of Operations, has played an essential role in pivoting Accenture’s managed services business. Under his leadership, the company brought new data and AI capabilities to clients.
Yusuf’s unique blend of cross-service skills and industry expertise, accumulated over 20 years in the Communications, Media & Technology (CMT) sector, positions him well for his next role.
He will now chair the global Communications, Media & Technology industry practices at Accenture.
Julie also highlighted Yusuf Tayob’s passion for innovation and people development. She emphasized on his role in growing Accenture’s priority industry practices within CMT.
