Ashish Kumar Joins Jindal Power Limited as VP & CHRO

Jindal Power Limited (JPL) has appointed Ashish Kumar as Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO). Ashish brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise, having previously held significant roles in the corporate world.

A New Chapter at Jindal Power

Now, as he steps into the role of VP & CHRO at Jindal Power Limited, Ashish is enthusiastic about contributing to the organization’s growth. His primary focus will be on organizational development, aligning it with the company’s business objectives.

He aims to foster an employee-centric approach and cultivate a positive workplace culture that supports both personal and professional growth.

In a recent social media post, Ashish expressed his excitement: “It is with great enthusiasm that I step into this role, and I am eager to explore and deliver in the organization.”

His sincerity and attention to detail are expected to drive positive change within JPL.

Ashish extends his heartfelt gratitude to Yashasvini J., Anil Pandey, and Chhavi Nath Singh for their warm welcome. As he joins the Jindal Power family, he looks ahead to a successful and prosperous journey together

A Journey of Excellence

Ashish Kumar is an alumnus of the prestigious Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). His professional journey began at Hindustan Zinc, where he spent the first eight years of his career as an engineer and associate manager.

During this period, he honed his skills and contributed significantly to the organization.

In April 2012, Ashish transitioned to the role of Manager (Technology Development) at Hindustan Zinc (Vedanta), based in Udaipur.

Over the next five years, he played a pivotal role in developing the technology roadmap, overseeing project scoping, process design, and commercialization.

His commitment to quality and detail-oriented approach earned him accolades within the company.

Ashish’s journey continued to ascend. In August 2018, he assumed the position of Chief People Officer for Odisha Bauxite at Vedanta. His responsibilities further expanded. Within a year and a half, he was promoted to Chief Human Resource Officer for Odisha Bauxite.

By July 2021, he had taken on an additional role as the project leader for group HRMS digital transformation. This is a testament to his versatility and strategic thinking.

Jindal Power Limited, a leading player in the energy sector, is confident that Ashish Kumar’s expertise will further strengthen their HR function and contribute to the company’s continued success.
