Dilip Pattanayak joins RP Sanjiv Goenka Group as President- HR

RP Sanjiv Goenka Group has appointed Dilip Pattanayak as President–Group HR to lead and strengthen the company’s people agenda across its wide portfolio of businesses.

In his new role, Pattanayak will focus on driving HR transformation and building on the Group’s culture of excellence.

A Veteran HR Leader

Pattanayak joins RP Sanjiv Goenka Group from JSW, where he served as President and Group CHRO for over five years.

Commenting on his new role, Pattanayak said on social media: “Excited to join the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group as President – Group HR. Looking forward to contributing to the Group’s inspiring journey, strengthening the people agenda, and building on its culture of excellence.”

With nearly three decades of experience, Pattanayak has held leadership positions across several leading Indian conglomerates.

Before JSW, he worked with Reliance Industries, Hindustan Zinc, and Vedanta, where he played a pivotal role in shaping HR strategies and transforming people policies.

Career Journey

Pattanayak began his career with early stints at Siemens, Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited, and Larsen & Toubro, before moving into senior leadership roles in the HR function.

His expertise spans talent strategy, workforce transformation, performance management, compensation, and HR leadership at scale, making him a strong fit for the Group’s evolving business landscape.

He holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry (Honours) from Sambalpur University and an MBA in HR from Utkal University.

With his extensive background in HR leadership, Pattanayak is expected to play a crucial role in aligning the Group’s workforce strategy with its growth vision.

His appointment marks a significant step in further strengthening RP Sanjiv Goenka Group’s commitment to people, culture, and organizational transformation.
