Dixon Technologies India Ltd, a leading player in India’s electronics manufacturing sector, has appointed Dr. Samar Srivastava as Vice President – Human Resource Development (HRD) & Administration.
The appointment comes at a time when Dixon is scaling its operations and deepening its capabilities across consumer electronics, mobile devices, lighting, and home appliances.
Samar brings nearly four decades of cross-industry experience in human resources, industrial relations, and organizational development.
His career spans notable tenures at Tata Steel, Jet Airways, Huhtamaki PPL, Crompton Greaves, and most recently, Havells India, where he served as Vice President – HR since 2021.
A Career Defined by Strategic HR Leadership
Samar began his professional journey in 1986 with Tata Steel, rising through the ranks to become Manager – Management Development.
He later joined Tata Ryerson as Head – HRD & Industrial Relations, overseeing HR, personnel, security, and community development across India.
His leadership roles have consistently focused on aligning HR strategy with business goals.
At Jet Airways, he managed HR across 78 global stations, while at Huhtamaki PPL, he led people strategy during a critical growth phase.
His tenure at Havells was marked by large-scale HR transformation and cultural alignment initiatives.
Academically, Samar holds a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), a post-doctoral qualification in leadership studies from Middlesex University, and an MBA in Personnel Management & IR from Xavier Institute of Social Service.
He also holds a Master’s degree in Sociology.
