Grid India appoints Paresh Ranpara as Director- HR

Grid Controller of India Limited (Grid India), formerly known as Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO) has announced the appointment of Paresh Ranpara as Director-HR effective 31 May 2023.

In this role, he is responsible for coordinating and implementing human resource policies, talent management, human resource development, and other strategic HR functions within the organization.

The company has shared the information on its LinkedIn Page and said, “Grid India welcomes Sh. Paresh Ranpara as he assumed charge as Director (Human Resources) of Grid Controller of India Limited w.e.f 31.05.2023. Sh. Ranpara is a highly experienced HR professional with over 28 years of expertise in the Power Sector.”

“Chairman & Managing Director, Sh. S. R. Narasimhan, Sh. S.S Barpanda, Director (Market Operation), and other senior officials welcomed Sh. Ranpara in the organization”, the post added.

Previously, he has actively participated in the process of unbundling the erstwhile Gujarat Electricity Board (GEB) and ensured a smooth transition.

Additionally, he has vast experience in designing the Performance Management System, leading organization restructuring efforts, conducting manpower planning, and overseeing succession planning for senior positions in MGVCL (DISCOM). 

He is also a certified assessor from XLRI. He is an experienced HR professional and has taken various HR initiatives for promoting the culture of innovation and creativity. His skills have met the requirement of new skills in view of the penetration of renewable energy and other challenges for reskilling.
