IFF Appoints Raj Karunakaran as Head-HR Indian Subcontinent

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF) has announced the appointment of Raj Karunakaran as the Head – HR for the Indian Subcontinent.

Raj shared his excitement about his new role on LinkedIn, stating, “I am thrilled to share that I’ve joined IFF as the Head of HR – Indian Subcontinent.”

He added, “Here at IFF, we Make Joy through science, creativity, and heart.”

Raj further stated, “As the global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients, health and biosciences, we deliver groundbreaking, sustainable innovations that power everyday essentials from brands you know and love, delighting the senses and enhancing the human experience.”

Raj Karunakaran’s Role at IFF

In his new role, Raj will be responsible for leading IFF’s human resources strategy, talent management, and business growth initiatives across the Indian Subcontinent.

He will work closely with business leaders to drive HR transformation across IFF’s business groups, including Taste, Scent, Health & Biosciences, and Food Ingredients.

Additionally, he will oversee HR initiatives at the company’s largest Global Business Services Center in Hyderabad.

Raj expressed his excitement about joining IFF and his commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and growth.

He emphasized the importance of ensuring an exceptional employee experience while contributing to IFF’s growth plans and continued success.

HR-Head Raj’s Background

Raj Karunakaran brings a wealth of experience to his new role at IFF.

Prior to joining IFF, he served as the Business HR Leader for APAC at Cargill Animal Nutrition & Health.

In this role, he played a pivotal part in developing and executing HR strategies across 80 manufacturing locations, supporting a workforce of over 6,500 employees in various countries.

He has also held senior HR roles at companies such as Philips, Tech Mahindra, AstraZeneca India, and Fidelity Investments.
