ManipalCigna Appoints Richa Chatterjee as CHRO

In a significant development, ManipalCigna Health Insurance has appointed Richa Chatterjee as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective September 2, 2024.

With over two decades of experience in the corporate world, Richa brings a wealth of expertise to her role.

Richa Chatterjee’s Role and Focus as CHRO at ManipalCigna

As the new CHRO, Richa Chatterjee will oversee the company’s HR strategies, emphasizing talent attraction, development, and retention.

She aims to foster a culture of diversity and inclusivity within the organization. Her expertise will contribute to ManipalCigna’s purpose and growth strategy.

Speaking on her appointment Richa said, “on enhancing our people strategy, fostering a culture that empowers and inspires our employees and propels us forward as an organisation towards our mission.”

Richa Chatterjee Career Trajectory

Richa Chatterjee, an alumna of Lady Shriram College for Women, holds an MBA in Human Resource Management and Services from the Management Development Institute.

Her professional journey has been marked by leadership roles across diverse sectors, including management consulting, BFSI, media, and manufacturing.

Tata Motors (2006–2008): Richa began her career at Tata Motors, where she served as Manager-Corporate HR.

The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) (2008–2014): At BCG, she held various senior HR roles, including learning and development, employee engagement, talent acquisition, and setting up a new employee cadre.

Viacom18 Media (2014–2018): Richa moved to Viacom18 Media as Associate Director-HR, later being elevated to Senior Director.

Network18 Media and Investments (2018–2022): She continued her journey in the media industry, heading HR for the digital, print, and publishing business.

India Infoline Finance (2022–2024): Prior to joining ManipalCigna, Richa served as President and CHRO at India Infoline Finance.
