McDonald’s Appoints Sandhydeep Purri as Chief People Officer

McDonald’s, the world’s leading global foodservice retailer, has announced the appointment of Sandhydeep Purri as its Chief People Officer (CPO).

This appointment is effective immediately, and Sandhydeep will be responsible for leading the company’s human resources strategies, focusing on talent development, employee engagement, and organizational transformation.

Sandhydeep’s diverse background across various industries and geographies, including Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, has equipped her with a deep understanding of global markets and large-scale change management.

Her leadership will be pivotal in cultivating a culture of innovation and progress at McDonald’s, ensuring that the company continues to attract and retain top talent while fostering a positive work environment.

A Wealth of Experience

Sandhydeep Purri brings over two decades of HR leadership experience to her new role at McDonald’s.

Prior to joining McDonald’s, she served as Chief People Officer at Unacademy, where she focused on HR transformation and workforce strategies for approximately a year.

Before that, she held the position of Chief People Officer at Sapphire Foods India Pvt. Ltd. for over six years, where she led HR operations for Pizza Hut and KFC across India.

Her extensive experience in people management, talent strategy, and operational excellence will be invaluable in her new role.

Sandhydeep’s career includes senior leadership roles at Aditya Birla Group, where she served as AVP & Head of Organization Effectiveness and Transformation, and later as Head of Talent Management & Development.

She also gained valuable consulting experience as a Senior Manager – Human Capital Consulting at Deloitte and held leadership roles at Tech Mahindra, DDB Mudra Group, and Denso during the early stages of her career.
