Microsoft Appoints Anvesha Singh as Director – Talent Development

Microsoft has appointed Anvesha Singh as Director – Talent Development for India GEO, effective December 2024.

Based at their India headquarters in Hyderabad, Anvesha will spearhead talent development initiatives, aligning with Microsoft’s mission to empower individuals and organizations to achieve more.

Role and Responsibilities at Microsoft

Commenting on her appointment, Anvesha Singh shared her excitement on Social Media platform LinkedIn.

She wrote, “I am incredibly excited and humbled to announce my transition into the realm of BigTech.”

Anvesha added, “It has already been a few weeks since I joined Microsoft at their India HQ in Hyderabad as Director – Talent Development for India GEO.”

She further wrote, “Felt absolutely delighted to have received such a warm and hearty welcome from the HR and Leadership teams.”

“I am eagerly looking forward to partnering with them to keep the Talent agenda center stage and fueling Microsoft’s mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more!” Anvesha concluded.

In her new role at Microsoft, Anvesha will be responsible for fostering a thriving talent ecosystem.

This aligns with Microsoft’s mission to empower every individual and organization to achieve more.

Her strategic vision and proven track record in talent management will be instrumental in driving Microsoft India’s talent development initiatives.

Background and Expertise

TISS alumni, Anvesha Singh brings over a decade of extensive experience in talent management, leadership development, and organizational transformation.

She most recently served as Vice President – Talent Management at Vodafone Idea Limited.

In this role, she played a pivotal part in identifying top talent, managing critical roles, and building leadership pipelines.

Her efforts in succession planning and leadership development significantly enhanced the organization’s talent strategy.

Prior to joining Vodafone, Anvesha held leadership roles at Bajaj Consumer Care, ZEISS Group, and RPG Group.

At Bajaj Consumer Care, she established the Center of Excellence (CoE) for talent acquisition, management, and development, leading initiatives in internal communication, employer branding, and diversity and inclusion.

At ZEISS Group, she focused on building the organization’s talent framework to set benchmarks within the ZEISS Group globally.

Her career began at RPG Group, where she gained extensive experience in learning and development, culture transformation, and talent management.
