Schaeffler India Appoints Shibi Mathew as Head of HR and CSR

Schaeffler India, a leading motion technology company, has appointed Shibi Mathew as Head HR and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Her new role will be effective November 4, 2024. In her new role, Shibi will lead key HR functions and CSR initiatives.

This reinforces the company’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and sustainable growth.

Welcoming Shibi Mathew at Schaeffler India

Commenting on her appointment, Harsha Kadam, MD and CEO of Schaeffler India, said, “We are delighted to welcome Shibi Mathew to Schaeffler India’s leadership team.”

Shibi Mathew’s Roles and Responsibilities

Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Shibi Mathew stated, “Joining Schaeffler India presents an incredible opportunity to collaborate with a team deeply committed to operational excellence, technological innovation, and social responsibility.”

She added, “I am excited to contribute to Schaeffler’s vision by fostering a dynamic workplace culture that values growth, diversity, and collaboration, while also leading impactful CSR initiatives.”

She further said, “Together, we aim to create an environment where every individual is empowered to realize their full potential, driving sustainable progress and industry leadership.”

As Head of Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility, Shibi will oversee crucial HR functions. She will also spearhead CSR initiatives for the company.

She will be a member of the Executive Leadership Team, playing a pivotal role in enhancing the company’s people-first approach.

Shibi brings over 22 years of extensive experience in strategic and operational HR to Schaeffler India.

She has a strong track record in pivotal leadership roles, with expertise in building high-performing teams, Shared Services, Digitalization, Global Mobility, HR Analytics, and Diversity & Inclusion.

Her proficiency in these areas will be instrumental in advancing Schaeffler India’s HR functions and CSR agenda.

Shibi’s academic credentials include a master’s degree in Personnel Management from Pune University and a Diploma in Labour Law (2002).

She also holds a Diploma in Executive Leadership CORE, specializing in Business Analytics, Financial Accounting, and Economics (2020).

Her impressive academic background reflects her commitment to continuous learning and adaptability to the rapidly evolving landscape of motion technology.
