Vodafone Idea appoints Sherry Agarwal as General Manager – HR Business Partner (HRBP).
With close to a decade of diverse HR experience across industries, Sherry brings proven expertise in people strategy, talent management, and organizational development.
In her new role at Vodafone Idea, Sherry will be responsible for driving HRBP initiatives aligned with business goals, strengthening talent frameworks, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and agility.
Her appointment marks a significant step in Vodafone Idea’s journey of transformation and people excellence.
Extensive Experience and Background
Sherry started her career as an HR Intern at Bajaj Energy Limited in 2016, before moving on to Birlasoft, where she supported HRBP functions.
At Bharti Airtel, she gained rich experience in managing large-scale people strategies, employee engagement, and HR transformation initiatives.
Before joining Vodafone Idea, she most recently worked at Network18 Media & Investments Limited, where she contributed to strategic HR interventions in the fast-paced media industry.
Her experience spans energy, IT, telecom, and media sectors, equipping her with a holistic perspective on people practices.
Educational Background
Sherry is an alumna of IBS Hyderabad, where she earned her MBA in HR. At IBS, she was an executive member of Convergence, the official HR club, and part of the organizing team for TRISHNA 2016, the Annual Management & Cultural Fest.
She also served as a Placement Representative (2016–2017) and was nominated for the Best Summer Internship Project (SIP) Award.
She completed her Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Business and Commerce from Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, University of Delhi, building a strong academic foundation in business and management.
