Swiggy Strengthens Leadership Team with Key Appointments

Swiggy, the leading food and grocery delivery platform, has announced the expansion of its leadership team with two key appointments.

These appointments are aimed at strengthening operations and execution across its food delivery and quick commerce verticals.

The company has appointed Shalabh Shrivastava as Senior Vice President of Driver Org and Hari Kumar G as Senior Vice President and Chief Business Officer for Swiggy Instamart.

Strategic Appointments at Swiggy

Shalabh Shrivastava, brings over 25 years of experience across e-commerce, retail, technology, consulting.

He previously worked as the Vice President at Flipkart.

At Swiggy, he will focus on optimizing product and operations for the delivery fleet.

Hari Kumar G, has over a decade of experience driving business growth across diverse sectors.

He was also formerly with Flipkart, where he led key categories including electronics, appliances, and groceries.

At Swiggy, he will focus on accelerating customer-centric growth and strengthening Instamart’s position in the quick commerce space.

Swiggy CHRO Girish Menon stated, “As Swiggy accelerates its innovation and expands into new categories and services, strengthening our leadership team is critical to driving the next phase of our growth.”

He added, “Hari and Shalabh bring deep expertise in scaling businesses and optimizing operations across dynamic, fast-paced industries.”

Their leadership will be pivotal as we continue to deliver unparalleled convenience to consumers,” Girish said.

IPO Preparation and Future Plans

With Swiggy’s IPO approaching on November 13, 2024, these strategic appointments are expected to play a crucial role.

The company is also piloting a new services marketplace called ‘Yello’ targeting professional services for consumers.

They are launching Rare Life, a concierge service geared towards high-net-worth individuals.

These initiatives are part of Swiggy’s broader strategy to diversify its offerings and capture a larger market share.

Swiggy’s expansion of its leadership team with the appointments of Shalabh Shrivastava and Hari Kumar G underscores the company’s commitment to scaling operations and enhancing service delivery.

As Swiggy continues to innovate and expand into new categories and services, the expertise and leadership of Hari and Shalabh will be instrumental in driving the company’s growth and delivering exceptional convenience to consumers.
