Tata 1mg Appoints Deepa Chadha as Chief HR Officer

Deepa Chadha has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Tata 1mg, India’s leading digital healthcare platform.

This appointment comes as Tata 1mg continues to expand its footprint in the healthcare sector, focusing on affordability, convenience, and quality.

Role at Tata 1mg

As CHRO of Tata 1mg, Deepa is set to lead the company’s people strategy, drive organizational growth, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

Tata 1mg, based in Gurugram, is a pioneer in transforming healthcare delivery in India.

The company offers services like medicine delivery, doctor consultations, and diagnostic tests. She aims to revolutionize access to healthcare in India.

Deepa Chadha brings over two decades of rich experience in human resources strategy, operations, and leadership.

She joins Tata 1mg from Vistara—Tata SIA Airlines Ltd., where she served as Senior Vice President, HR & Corporate Affairs for eight years.

During her tenure at Vistara, Deepa played a pivotal role in shaping the airline’s HR strategies. She also drove its cultural transformation.

Career Journey and Educational Qualifications

Before her role at Vistara, Deepa held several critical positions at renowned organizations.

She was the Senior Vice President, HR (CHRO) at Jabong, where she successfully led HR operations and employee engagement initiatives.

Her prior association with Bharti Airtel saw her hold roles such as VP – Head HR Global COE and Head HR Airtel Business.

In these positions, she was instrumental in driving HR innovation across global and B2B operations.

Deepa’s professional journey also includes leadership stints at Genpact as VP Global HR Shared Services and Oracle India as Principal Consultant – eBusiness.

She began her career at Ranbaxy.

Her diverse experience spans HR operations, shared services, leadership development, and strategic planning across sectors like healthcare, technology, and aviation.

Deepa Chadha holds a Master’s degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations (PMIR) from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, which she earned in 1995.

Her educational background has equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead Tata 1mg’s HR strategies effectively.
