The Sleep Company Ropes-in Kamaljeet Singh as CHRO

The Sleep Company (TSC), a leading manufacturer of SmartGRID mattresses, chairs, and recliner beds, has recently made a significant addition to its leadership team.

On Monday, the company announced the appointment of Kamaljeet Singh as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). 

This strategic move reflects TSC’s commitment to enhancing its internal practices and creating an inspiring workplace for its growing team.

Priyanka Salot, Co-Founder of The Sleep Company, expressed her confidence in Kamaljeet’s ability to contribute significantly to the company’s growth.

She highlighted his expertise in learning and development, emphasizing that it would play a pivotal role in attracting and retaining exceptional talent. 

TSC’s commitment to its workforce is evident through initiatives like introducing Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) for all employees, demonstrating a promise to its young workforce.

Kamaljeet Singh himself acknowledged TSC’s impressive journey. In just four years, the startup has evolved from a pursuit of scientifically supported mattresses to a brand dedicated to enhancing consumers’ sleeping and sitting experiences.

Kamaljeet’s focus will be on streamlining processes, ensuring the right talent is in the right roles, and establishing a compelling tone at the top. 

His vision aligns with TSC’s mission to create an environment where every team member feels valued and empowered.

Kamaljeet Singh: A Seasoned HR Professional

Kamaljeet Singh brings over 15 years of experience in human resources and operations to his new role at TSC.

Prior to joining the company, he served as the Vice President of HR Operations at Rebel Foods. Athe the company he gained valuable expertise in crafting innovative HR policies and driving organizational excellence. 

Kamaljeet’s diverse background also includes significant contributions at Gallup and American Express, further enriching his skill set.

The Sleep Company: Recent Funding and Growth

After securing Rs 13.4 crore in pre-Series A funding and Rs 177 crore in a Series B round led by Premji Invest and Fireside Ventures, The Sleep Company has continued its growth trajectory.

The recent Series C Funding of Rs 184 crore further solidifies its position in the market. 

Founded by Priyanka and Harshil Salot, TSC’s journey exemplifies innovation, resilience, and a commitment. They aim to improve consumers’ well-being through better sleep experiences.
