Unilever Appoints Ambika Sivadoss as VP HR and Head of Talent, India

Ambika Sivadoss has assumed the position of Vice President of Human Resources for Home Care and Head of Talent, India, at Unilever, one of the world’s leading consumer goods companies.

Ambika has over 16 years of experience in human resources.

She brings deep expertise in talent management, organizational transformation, and leadership development to this dual role.

Responsibilities in Her New Role at Unilever India

As Vice President HR for Home Care and Head of Talent, India, Ambika will take charge of the HR strategy for Unilever’s Home Care business.

Her role involves aligning HR initiatives with business goals to drive success in India.

This includes aligning HR initiatives with business goals, driving talent development, and fostering a high-performance culture.

As Head of Talent, she will focus on identifying and nurturing leadership potential across Unilever India.

Her efforts will ensure a strong talent pipeline to support the company’s sustained growth.

A Career Built on Excellence

Ambika’s professional journey is marked by a series of impactful roles within Unilever.

Most recently, she held the position of Global HR Lead for Nutrition, based in the Netherlands.

In this role, she played a key part in shaping global talent strategies and driving business transformation across international markets.

Her tenure in this role underscored her ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives on a global scale.

Before this, Ambika held multiple leadership roles within Unilever.

These included serving as HR Director for the Southeast Asia and Australasia (SEAA) Supply Chain, as well as HR Director for the Supply Chain in the Philippines.

These roles allowed her to provide HR leadership across multiple geographies, enhancing her understanding of diverse cultural and organizational dynamics.

Her earlier experience as HR Director for Marketing and Customer Development in Bangkok further solidified her expertise in commercial HR functions.

Additionally, she has held key HR Business Partner roles in Singapore, supporting categories such as Personal Care, Skin Care, and Cleansing, where she contributed to category growth and capability building.

Ambika’s academic credentials are as impressive as her professional achievements.

She holds a Master’s degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, one of India’s premier institutions for social sciences and management studies.

She also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Stella Maris College.

Her skill set includes talent management, employee engagement, performance management, and leadership development, making her a well-rounded HR professional.
