Vodafone Idea Appoints Gurucharan Singh Gandhi as CHRO

Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi), one of India’s leading telecom service providers, has announced the appointment of Gurucharan Singh Gandhi as its Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO).

Effective April 1, 2025, Gurucharan will succeed Suvamoy Roy Choudhary, who is set to retire on March 31, 2025.

Gurucharan Singh Gandhi has nearly 25 years of extensive experience in human resources.

He has held leadership roles across diverse industries, including financial services and fashion retail.

Before joining Vodafone Idea, Gurucharan served as the Head of HR for Madura Fashion and Lifestyle, a division of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited.

In this role, he was instrumental in driving people-centric strategies and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Gurucharan’s career features notable roles at Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, where he spearheaded learning and development initiatives.

He also contributed significantly at Aditya Birla Capital, heading the business center of expertise for Learning & Development.

His professional journey also includes leadership roles at Max Life Insurance, Bharti AXA Life Insurance, and Nicholas Piramal India Limited.

These experiences highlight his versatility and exceptional expertise in HR management.
