Wipro Promotes Ranjita Ghosh as Global Chief Marketing Officer

Wipro, one of India’s leading IT services companies, has announced the appointment of Ranjita Ghosh as its Global Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective February 1, 2025.

This promotion comes as Ranjita succeeds Laura Langdon, who has decided to explore new career opportunities outside the company.

Ranjita Ghosh’s appointment is expected to bring fresh perspectives and innovative strategies to Wipro’s marketing efforts.

New Responsibilities at Wipro

In her new role, Ranjita will lead all marketing activities for Wipro across its global operations. She will report to Hari Shetty, Wipro’s Chief Strategist & Technology Officer.

Her responsibilities will include shaping the company’s brand strategy and contributing significantly to its growth trajectory.

Prior to her appointment as Global CMO, Ranjita served as the Chief Marketing Officer for Wipro’s Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (APMEA) strategic market unit.

In this role, she played a pivotal part in achieving business goals by spearheading a robust marketing strategy focused on brand positioning, customer experience, thought leadership, and influencer partnerships.

Her efforts emphasized innovative marketing approaches and building strong customer advocacy.

Background and Experience

Ranjita Ghosh brings nearly two decades of experience in the global technology services industry to her new role.

She has held various positions in sales, business development, growth marketing, buyer experience, and ecosystem partnerships.

Ranjita has also managed marketing for multiple high-value portfolios and led teams across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
