Zydus Healthcare Names Swati Dalal as Managing Director

Zydus Healthcare Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Zydus Lifesciences Ltd, has announced the appointment of Swati Dalal as its new Managing Director and Additional Director, effective June 16, 2025.

The appointment, approved by the board during its meeting on the same day, is for a five-year term and signals a pivotal moment in the company’s leadership evolution.

A Veteran Leader with Over Three Decades of Experience

Swati Dalal brings with her over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Her most recent role was as Managing Director of Abbott India Ltd, where she held several key leadership positions.

These included:

  • Commercial Director – Sales & Marketing
  • Head of Business Development & Commercial Excellence

Swati’s career began at Wockhardt Nutrition, after which she joined Boots, a company that later underwent a series of mergers with Knoll, Solvay, and eventually Abbott.

Through these transitions, she steadily rose through the ranks, gaining deep expertise in commercial strategy, operational excellence, and business transformation.

Swati holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from PKM Kundnani College of Pharmacy, Mumbai.

She further strengthened her business acumen with a postgraduate degree in Management Studies from the prestigious Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai.

This combination of scientific grounding and strategic insight has been a hallmark of her leadership style.
