Schindler gets Nitin Chalke as President & CEO, India & South Asia

A leading manufacturer and provider of related services for elevators, escalators, and moving walkways, Schindler Group has appointed Nitin Chalke as President & CEO -India & South Asia.

He has confirmed the appointment on LinkedIn and said, “I am excited to be part of the Schindler group again, as I join as President and CEO – India & South Asia.”


He further said, “I am thankful to Eaton for fourteen wonderful years, which have been professionally enriching, providing opportunities for a far wider gamut of diverse roles & responsibilities and geographical/cultural experience.”

“I had the privilege of working with awesome colleagues around the world; they helped me get better”, he added.


He further said, “Personal family reasons triggered the homecoming, and I returned with widened horizons, embracing a more global approach. I look forward to working again with the known and new faces establishing and nurturing old and new networks and collectively achieving new milestones.”

Nitin has experience in executing global manufacturing footprint optimization strategy, Continuous Improvement, and lean manufacturing.

He has domestic and expat experience spans APAC and USA: India (Country Managing Director); Singapore (South-East Asia Managing Director); Shanghai, China (President APAC); and U.S. (President North America).

He is a Strategic leader with strong interpersonal and team-building skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

Nitin Chalke can adapt quickly to new environments, businesses, and cultures, global and business units. Before Schindler Group he was associated with Eaton where he has held various leadership roles.

He holds his Master’s of Management, and Marketing from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and completed his Bachelor of Engineering from Sardar Patel College of Engineering (SPCE), Mumbai.
