Wipro appoints Sandhya Arun as Chief Technology Officer

According to ET report, Wipro has appointed Sandhya Ramachandran Arun as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with immediate effect, after the resignation of Subha Tatavarti, who stepped down to pursue opportunities outside the company.

This significant leadership change was communicated internally via e-mail which highlighted Arun’s pivotal role in driving technological innovation and digital transformation at Wipro over the past eight years.

In her new role, Sandhya will report directly to Hari Shetty, Wipro’s Chief Technology and Strategy Officer.

Leadership and Strategic Contributions

Sandhya has been a key person at Wipro in technological advancements, particularly in the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation initiatives. As one of the founding leaders of Wipro Digital, her strategic partnerships were instrumental in advancing clients’ digital journeys.

Most recently, as Vice-President and AI Transformation Strategist, she demonstrated exceptional leadership in enhancing Wipro’s AI capabilities, which contributed to the company’s growth and client success.

Her 30-year career spans various domains, including technology consulting, cloud and engineering transformation, digital commerce, and marketing, showcasing her versatility and leadership.

Organizational Restructuring Under CEO Srini Pallia

Wipro’s appointment of Sandhya Arun as CTO is part of a broader organizational restructuring under the leadership of new CEO Srini Pallia. The company has recently elevated three veterans within its ranks.

Nanda Kishore, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Americas One, has been appointed Chief of Delivery and Operational Excellence.

Dilip Dialani, a long-serving Wipro executive, will take over as COO of Americas One in the third quarter of this financial year.

Additionally, Wipro has elevated its Chief Information Security Officer, Aathir Ahad, while Ajit Mahale, a senior executive who joined Wipro under former CEO Thierry Delaporte, has decided to exit the firm.
