CIMB gets McKinsey & Co Animesh Mukherjee as Group CHRO

A leading ASEAN universal bank, CIMB has appointed Animesh Mukherjee as Group Chief Human Resources Officer.

He has confirmed the appointment on social media and said, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Group Chief Human Resources Officer at CIMB!”

Animesh is a strategic HR leader with nearly 20 years of experience driving transformation through people & culture.

Prior to CIMB, he was associated with McKinsey & Company as an Expert Associate Partner. He joined the organization in March 2022 and worked till July 2023.

Previously, he was Chief People Officer at Lazada Group. Here he was Responsible for people strategy & operations for Lazada Malaysia. His earlier stints include working with Digi Telecommunications as Advisor – Human Resources.

Animesh started his career working with Aon here he has held various leadership roles within the organization. His last designation was Country Leader.

He holds Masters in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore and completed his Bachelors in Business Administration from Delhi University.
