Flipkart’s Chief HR Officer Quits

Smriti Krishna Singh, Senior Vice President, and Chief Human Resources Officer at Flipkart has quit after a nearly one-year stint. She took up the position of CHRO at Flipkart in December 2018 and was reporting to Krishnamurthy.

Smriti was responsible for overall people and culture charter. Prior to joining Flipkart, she was the Chief Human Resources Officer for Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN). In a global career spanning over two decades, she brings with her a rich and diverse experience in Human Resources. She has been recognized for driving many leadership-based, talent development practices and establishing HR as a strategic and integral part of the organization.

Smriti started her career with Xerox India followed by 11 years with the General Electric Co. (GE) in various HR leadership roles in India, Tokyo, New York, and Singapore prior to taking on the Head of HR role at Sony Pictures Networks India in 2011.

She joined Flipkart at a time when Walmart acquired the e-commerce giant for $16 billion. Smriti is an alumnus of IMI, New Delhi where she pursued her MBA and has a B.A in Psychology (Hons) from Lady Sri Ram College, New Delhi.
