Kotak Mahindra Bank appoints Anupam Kaura as CHRO

India’s leading financial services conglomerate, Kotak Mahindra Bank has appointed Anupam Kaura as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

In his role, he will be responsible for the entire HR process of Kotak Mahindra Bank and additionally, he will be spearheading organizational transformation.

Shanti Ekambaram, Whole Time Director, Kotak Mahindra Bank said “Anupam has a unique blend of experience in strategic HR leadership, change management, and technology integration.”

“We believe his rich experience in leading large transformative initiatives aligns with Kotak’s vision to be a tech-enabled, customer-centric financial institution for the future”, Shanti Ekambaram added.

He has over 25 years of global strategic HR leadership, Board, business partnering, Compensation and Benefits Management (including long-term incentive designs and new-age approaches), and HR consulting experience.

Prior to Kotak Mahindra Bank, Anupam was associated with CRISIL Limited. His earlier stints include working with IDFC Bank, Citibank India, AXA, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

He holds his Master’s in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).

Recently, the Bank has welcomed veteran banker Mr. Ashok Vaswani as the managing director (MD) and CEO of the bank with effect from January 1, 2024. He replaced Dipak Gupta who was the interim MD and CEO.
